The Corona virus is creating stress for most people. It is important in situations such as this to be aware of strategies for managing your responses. While we can’t control the current difficulties we are facing we can control how we respond.
Suggestions for assisting in remaining calm are to seek the right information from good sources, avoid information overload and misinformation. Give yourself a reprieve from continual media coverage and enjoy a book, some music or a walk in the park or garden.
If you are isolating at home try and maintain a regular routine, eat well, exercise and remain in contact with friends and family.
If you are a front line worker, it is important to remember to care for yourself. Take regular breaks, ensure you spend some time each day doing something you enjoy and talk to some one about how you are going.
